Real vs. Steal – Alexander Wang Alla Peep-Toe Wedges vs Renvy Sana Wedge Mules

Recently I purchased a pair of Black Renvy “Sana” Peep Toe Wedges from Goodwill. As per usual, I looked up information on the brand (since I was unfamiliar with it), history of the item’s fashion (what designer originated the style), how much the item originally retailed for and inspiration for how to style the item within my wardrobe. My search led me to discover my Goodwill find was inspired by Alexander Wang.

Real: Alexander Wang Alla Peep-Toe Wedges

These shoes, featured on Khloe Kardashian in 2010, are leopard print. Although slightly different backs on the “steal” version of the shoe, they still feature a high heel mule design. As far as I could tell, Alexander Wang originated this style a couple years ago and some designers still continue to knock off the design. This version retailed for $525. And can we just take a minute to appreciate that the Kardashian style has dramatically improved since this moment in time?! The shoes are still the cutest part of the outfit though, in my humble opinion. 😉

Steal: Renvy Sana Peep Toe Wedge Mules

Below is the shoe I purchased at Goodwill for $5.99. It features little to no signs of wear and a leather upper. These originally retailed for $59. They hit retail stores sometime in late 2015.

Additional High Heel Mule Inspiration

The pair below is from Zara. I think it’s a more traditional high heel mule because it is not wedge shape. Super cute!
