I got 50% off my entire purchase at The Balm Cosmetics. Purchase included: two blushes, three eye shadow palettes, one highlighter, one brush, and two lip glosses… for just over $100! By following their Instagram page I was made away of an amazing sale that they had going on – 50% off everything online + $5 flat rate shipping.
The Balm Cosmetics was founded in 2004 by Marissa Shipman. Their products are priced in between drug-store brands and “high-end” brands, but the quality is mostly high-end. This deal is made even more apparent when you can snag their goodies for half off!
I purchased the following three products for my mom (I already own them): highlighter, brush, and eye palette. I loved them so much I talked her into getting them! 🙂

Highlighter, Shadow & Shimmer ($24 -> $12)
This product below is one of their top sellers, and for good reason. It adds a beautiful shimmer to any eye make-up look. But it is most notably used as a highlighter. It’s very pigmented, so a little goes a long ways. I’m not into the whole contouring/strobing/baking/highlighting fad that is going on right now, but I can tell you this: apply just a bit on the top of your cheek bones and you instantly have a healthy glow. I would recommend this product to anyone!

Powder/Blush Brush ($29.50 -> $14.75)
I’ve used this brush to apply my all-over Bare Minerals powder, all different brands of blushes and bronzers, and even my Mary-Lou Manizer. I’ve experience very even application of all my make-up using this brush, and its great because it doesn’t hold onto excess product once some has been applied.

Auto Balm Eyeshadow Palette
Eyeshadows & Blush ($15 -> $7.50)
This palette only appears on their website when they have sales, but you can find it elsewhere online. I loooove this brow/crease color because its the perfect brown for my skin tone. If I travel anywhere I take this palette with me and I don’t have to worry about bringing anything else along besides my brushes and some foundation.
I plan on posting about the rest of my purchase once I have a chance to try it out. Look for a post about first impressions.
